Devenda Benhart is 29 years old singer-songwriter and visual artist. Born in Houston, Texas he was raised by his mother in Venezuela, until he returned to California as a teenager. He began to study at the San Francisco Art Institute in 1998, until dropped out to perform music. Drawings by Banhart were featured in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and in the Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels and also in in the Art Basel Contemporary Art Fair in Miami, FL, the Mazzoli Gallery in Modena, Italy, Spain’s ARCOmadrid. and the Andrew Roth Gallery gallery in New York. Today, he performs at the best festivals, exhibits his work at Starkwhite in NZ and is nominated for a Grammy Award.
