Daniel Naudé’s African scenery and animals

At first glance the animals in this series of portraits by South African photographer Daniel Naudé couldn’t look any more majestic. With the picturesque African landscape as the setting and the amazing grace of pose in the animals themselves. It’s only after you look at a few of them more closely that other details are revealed such as the pissing bull and the horse wearing a wire collar. They remind me a lot of the iconic work by Australian photographer Earl Carter created specifically for the Rockpool Bar & Grill restaurants. It’s almost as if you’re in fact looking at a painting.
