Considered by some, seemingly ill-informed, commentators to be nothing more than a “quick fad” – pop-up environments are a 21st century phenomenon that just goes from strength to strength, and let’s face it, the unrestricted ability to show off your ideas and to experiment with creativity mean they’re the stuff dreams are made of for any forward-thinking designer, architect, retailer, restaurateur etc. This collaboration between Brooklyn based art/architecture practice Snarkitecture and up and coming, award-winning fashion designer, Richard Chai, is no different – pushing the boundaries of a temporary retail space with its interior landscape, created by using white architectural foam cut by hand to produce erosions and extensions of the sculpted walls and ceiling…
